[Summit] Forum for American-Chinese Exchange at Stanford Annual U.S.-China Summit

The Forum for American-Chinese Exchange at Stanford (FACES) Annual U.S.-China Summit is now open for registration. Students and staff (aged 20-28) are welcomed to apply. The application is closing on July 8th, 2018.

Over the last two decades, the FACES Annual Summit has brought together forty exceptional student scholars from across the globe to engage in a five-day immersive experience. Through the Summit, student delegates hear from luminaries in U.S.-China relations, forge connections with a diverse range of exceptional peers, and engage in-depth on issues critical to the world’s most pivotal bilateral relationship. With the support of their global network of partners, FACES has hosted a broad range of renowned speakers such as former President George H.W. Bush, former Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, former U.S. Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman Jr., and Sidney Rittenberg, former translator to Chairman Mao Zedong.

The 2018-19 FACES Annual Summit will be held at Stanford University from October 4-8, with the Summit’s China session arranged at Peking University in late March. FACES pays for all food, accommodation, programming, and transportation costs of the Summit, and provides generous financial aid for student delegates requiring assistance to cover travel expenses.

Applications to attend the 2018-19 FACES Annual Summit will close July 8, 2018, at 11:59 PM PST. All students and professionals aged 20-28 at the time of the Summit with demonstrated strong personal or academic interests to the U.S.-China relations from fields of spanning business, politics, humanities, and engineering are welcomed to apply.
