CCR DIGITAL HUMANITIES, PEDAGOGY, AND EAST ASIAN STUDIES FORUM

With:

Jack Hayes (Kwantlen Polytechnic & CCR)

Tristan Grunow (UBC History)

Erin Williams (Asia Pacific Foundation)

This forum introduces UBC and local scholars engaging in digital humanities and teaching Chinese and Japanese history. Digital platforms are becoming both more common in the classroom and research, and much easier to engage with students, faculty, and scholars. From Digital Meiji photo projects to in-class Chinese environmental history timelines, and BC school curriculum and online to open-ed texts and assignments, we will discuss what has worked (and not worked) for us so far.

Light refreshments will be served.
