Abstract:

India and China are the two Superpowers in Asia. Despite governing over distinct political regimes, Prime Minister Modi and President Xi display remarkable similarities in how they restructure and exercise state power. How can we explain such similarities?

Between the two countries, Southeast Asia is a playground for competition. How do Southeast Asian countries – especially Thailand – see themselves amidst the rising Great Powers’ assertiveness?
